Kim May, to invite you to join us in Puerto Vallarta
for a week of connection, adventure, and yoga.
May 9th-15th, 2020

During this retreat, we will help you in creating a more trusting and nourishing relationship with your body and mind. Our leaders have years of experience in creating safe and healing spaces. Through informative workshops, yoga, conversational learning, and outdoor excursions we will encourage you to celebrate your body for all that it can do! This is a retreat for ALL bodies, and we aim to break the mold of the stereo typical yoga or “bikini body”. It is our mission to make you feel comfortable, and we give you permission to show up however you would like. 

While in Puerto Vallarta you will have the opportunity to explore the vibrancy of the city through food, shopping, and nightlife. At the villa located directly on the ocean, you will have plenty of time to relax by the private pool or on the beach. Our adventures will include a boat ride along the coast of Puerto Vallarta, snorkeling, a guided hike through the jungle to a waterfall, SUPing, and sea kayaking. You have the freedom to skip anything that doesn’t serve you, we hope you make this retreat your own experience! 

Trip Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival, get settled, introductions, and setting intentions 

 

Day 2: Morning yoga,  workshop “letting go of perfectionism”, beach time, evening yoga

 

Day 3: Morning yoga, boat ride to a remote jungle hike and areas to snorkel, workshop, evening yoga

 

Day 4: Morning yoga, Mala workshop, and meditation, workshop, evening yoga 

 

Day 5: Morning yoga, workshop, SUPing and kayaking, evening yoga

 

Day 6: Morning yoga, workshop, explore the town, beach day, evening yoga

 

Day 7: Morning yoga, closing, and goodbyes.

Hello Everyone!! My name is Kim.  This will be my fourth retreat to Puerto Vallarta, I am looking forward to sharing the beautiful beaches at the villa with you! I was raised in Colorado with an active outdoor lifestyle. My love for travel and adventure has stemmed from a young age.

I found yoga in high school and throughout college it became an everyday routine.Working long hours and being active, I found that yoga helped me maintain my flexibility, energy, strength, and most importantly calmed my mind. Yoga truly taught me how to center my mind and body. It taught me that what I looked like had nothing to do with how my body could move. I am a 500 hour certified yoga teacher with many disciplines, thousands of hours of teaching under my belt, and have run many retreats. My teaching style is simple; I encourage all of my students to tap into their true strength, embrace their sense of discovery, and rejuvenate their mind, body and spirit. On and off the mat, I want to encourage you to deepen your relationship with your mind and body.

 

I am so looking forward to our adventures and yoga exploration on this amazing retreat we have planned for you.

Hi, I am Kristen, founder of Wild and Weightless. I  believe that connection is at the core of building a healing and therapeutic relationship. As a counselor, I bring a sense of curiosity, compassion, and warmth to our individual and group sessions. I believe that therapy is a collaborative process. As your therapeutic facilitator, I will listen to your individual needs and aim to create a peaceful environment for healing and growth to occur.

 

I hold my master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with a concentration in Wilderness Therapy, from Naropa University. I am a trained Eating Disorder Intuitive Therapist and specialize in disordered eating and positive body image work. My mission is to help you build a compassionate and trusting relationship with your body.

 

Our work together will focus on breaking down the social constructs that have led you to believe that your body is something that “needs to be fixed.” During our week together we will examine how disordered eating or negative body image is impacting your life, relationships, and broader goals. The objective is to work towards letting go of the insecurities that are holding you back from living fully and showing up authentically
